It Just Takes One

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Boys & Girls Clubs of The Emerald Coast! Volunteers make a tremendous difference in the lives of the youth at our seven Northwest Florida Clubs and are vital to the success of our programs and special events. We invite you to learn more about Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast and find out you can help kids build great futures.

The Boys & Girls Clubs have been part of a nationwide effort to help assure the protection of children from abuse and exploitation. Therefore, in order to safeguard the well being of the youth served, the Boys & Girls Clubs will investigate the accuracy of data provided in the application process for all applicants prior to their volunteer placement. This investigation may include, but is not limited to; reference checks, military, schools, other volunteer agencies, police and other government agencies. The Boys & Girls Clubs has the authority to request fingerprinting/drug testing/background checks/physical exams to ensure that they are fit for duty. This includes examination to determine if they are under the influence of alcohol/abuse of prescription drugs/non-prescription drugs or other illegal substances.

Adult Volunteer (Ages 18+)

Club Volunteers enjoy the hands-on experience that Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast offers. They have valuable knowledge and provide additional insight to enhance programs and activities in our Clubs. They also serve as an additional positive adult role model to Club Members. Club Volunteers work with the Club and Program Directors at a designated Club on field trips, mentoring, programs, and other services involving our youth. Background check, volunteer orientation, and training are mandatory.

Corporate Group Volunteering

Corporate Group Volunteering is ideal for companies, organizations and schools that would like to participate in one or more special activities at our Clubs. This is an excellent way to incorporate team building and boost moral while providing an immediate benefit to the youth served by Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast. We can help you design and execute a customized project that aligns your company’s interests and values while fulfilling a need at a Club. Examples include Scrub-A-Club, where a group performs small renovation projects such as painting and building furniture; and Adopt-A-Club, where a company can sponsor a holiday party or back-to-school drive.

If your company would like to schedule a large group project, please contact Rob Engel at rengel@bgcec.com. Please allow at least four weeks of notice between contacting us and the scheduled date of your project so that we can find the best Club match for you.
